Bottle Flip Taken To The Next Level!

We have all seen kids flipping water bottles in your neighborhood, schools, parks, and anywhere you go honestly! I stumbled upon this website the other day called BottleBullsEye.com and thought this would be awesome for any program. Not too expensive, comes with actual targets, tons of game options, and a way to make this standard game of flipping a bottle 1 percent better. Go check this website out to learn more. I will be testing this out at our camps this Summer!

.Classic Game Mode:

  • 1-4 players
  • To start game – the youngest player goes first
  • Select either a single game or series of games – best of 3, 5 or 7 in the Bottle-Bullseye™ Scoring App
  • Select the number of points that wins the game (ex: 7, 11, 15, 21)
  • Each player flips their Flippin’ Bottle. If points are earned, they add them to their score, retrieve their Flippin’ Bottle and the player to the left takes their turn. Repeat until the winning number of points is achieved by one of the players or if a player hits the “Ultimate CAP”.

Battle Mode (1v1 Or 2v2):

  • 2 players (1 vs 1) OR 4 players (2 vs 2)
  • To start game – the youngest player goes first
  • Select either a single game or series of games – best of 3, 5 or 7 in the Bottle-Bullseye™ Scoring App
  • Select the number of points that wins the game (ex: 7, 11, 15, 21)
  • For each round, each player gets a turn to flip their Flippin’ Bottle. If their bottle lands on the target, the bottle remains on the target. The opponent Flipping next either tries to beat the shot with a better shot for more points or can try to “knock out” their opponents bottle that is on the target by landing their bottle and knocking down their opponents bottle (No Chucking).
  • Points are earned in a round based net points which are calculated by subtracting the points earned by the lowest flip from the points earned by the highest flip. (we are talking points, not how high the Flippin’ Bottle flies during the flip)

Melee Mode (Aka Speed-Shootout):

  • 2 or more players
  • To start game – each player has 1 Target and 1 Flippin’ Bottle
  • Select either a single game or series of games – best of 3, 5 or 7 in the Bottle-Bullseye™ Scoring App (use the App for up to 4 players)
  • Select the number of points that wins the game (ex: 7, 11, 15, 21)
  • For each round – players race to see who can meet or exceed the winning number of points the fastest. The oldest player yells “GO” and ALL PLAYERS flip their Flippin’ Bottles to score points as FAST as they can until they meet or exceed the winning number of points
  • When a player meets or exceeds the winning number of points – that player yells “BULL!!” loud enough for EVERYONE to hear
  • If 2 or more players yell “BULL!” at the same time – those players will race each other in a shoot-out to see who gets the WIN
  • If using the App (up to 4 players) – enter the scores for each player and go to the next game

B-U-L-L Challenge Mode:

  • Similar to P-I-G or H-O-R-S-E in basketball
  • 2 -4 players
  • To start game – the youngest player goes first
  • Select single game mode (1 game) in the Bottle-Bullseye™ Scoring App
  • Select the number of points that wins the game (ex: 7, 11, 15, 21)
  • For each round, each player gets a turn to flip their Flippin’ Bottle. If their bottle lands on the target, the opponent (next up) must take the same shot from the same spot. If the opponent lands the shot there are no points earned and no B-U-L-L letters assigned bottles are removed from the target and the next person flips. If the opponent doesn’t match the shot, the player that landed the shot wins a point and the opponent earns 1 letter to start/continue to spell out B-U-L-L.
  • Players WIN the game by getting to the Winning Number of Points. Players lose/are eliminated when they miss enough shots and earn all 4 letters spelling out B-U-L-L.
  • Players can call “CAP” to make the shot more challenging and will result in 2 letters assigned if the opponent misses a called “CAP” shot. If “CAP” is NOT called prior to the shot then any Flippin’ landing is acceptable, but a missed shot only results in 1 letter being assigned. Players make shots more Flippin’ challenging by standing in different spots, using different hands to Flip from, standing on 1 foot, etc.

Mayhem Mode:

  • Multi player mode (1 vs. 1 or Team vs. Team)
  • Take 2 or More targets and spread them around your available space
  • Each player or Team starts the game at a different Flippin’ “Station”
  • To start game – Select the total number of Points OR Flips each player or team needs to reach overall OR at each station
  • The Game Leader yells GO! and all players start Flippin’ at their station. Once they achieve the station objective (total station points or land the number of Flips) they pick their bottles and race to the next station & repeat
  • The player or team to get the winning number of Points OR Flips at all stations 1st is the WINNER!
  • Make it more challenging by using different Heights & Surfaces for Targets, spreading the targets out farther, making point totals exact (cannot exceed), etc.

Beat The Clock Mode:

  • 2 player mode (Or practice vs. yourself or teams)
  • To start game – the youngest player goes first
  • Select either a single game or series of games – best of 3, 5 or 7 in the Bottle-Bullseye™ Scoring App
  • Select the number of points that wins the game to 21
  • For this mode, use ONLY the Outer Landing Zone scoring (Base = 1, Cap = 3)
  • For each round, each player gets a turn to flip their Flippin’ Bottle for a set amount of time (try 10 – 15 seconds). Start the timer and player 1 Flips as fast as they can until time expires OR they hit 20 pts (the Flippin’ MAX), keeping track of score as they go
  • Once the timer shows the allotted time has passed OR the Flippin’ MAX has been reached, switch and Player 2 gets their turn
  • Player 2 then flips until they either reach the Flippin’ MAX OR they go over the time it took player 1 to hit the Flippin’ MAX
  • The player with the fastest time to the Flippin’ MAX or the player with the most points in the allotted time WINS! Simply award the final point (point #21) to the winning player to end the game on the app and move on to the next game or series!
